Checking In.

Let's see.... since we last chatted BodyVox has put together and done two tours, and performed three completely different shows in the past three months.

We did shows and taught master classes in  St. Cloud, Minnesota, Valhala and The Bronx, New York and Philadelphia, PA.  Now we are in week four of our Chronos/Kairos run.  It has been exciting, crazy, fun, frustrating, and satisfying being this busy.  As always a few things in particular stand out in my mind that have been particularly memorable.

The first being non-dance related, but incredible!  While Ashley and I were in NY teaching several master classes before the rest of the company joined us, we had a spare afternoon and drove to the most amazing sculpture garden, Storm King.  It is a little over an hour north of NYC and if you are ever in the area go!!!  500 acres of an old estate has been turned into a huge outdoor art gallery.  It was fantastic!

Another was having the opportunity to teach several modern and ballet classes to the kids at Westchester Community College.  They were enthusiastic, feisty and great to teach.  We even got a new company catch phrase from one of the students, 'I bet you do!?' I can tell you more about that another time ;-)

Lastly, getting to perform in our new space at the BV dance center with such a great new show has been wonderful.  I am having such a great time with Chronos/Kairos.  If you have not had the chance to see it, come, I think you will like it.  We have had the chance to revisit some old dances that haven't been seen for a long time along with a few that are more recent.  All, I am enjoying doing again.  One in particular being, 'Tell it to me', the solo I did on the pushcart last year from Foot Opera Files.  I love doing this piece!
