Spend a week at camp with Portland's "most popular and internationally acclaimed dance company." The Oregonian

Your student will work with BodyVox's outstanding roster of professional dancers and teaching artists including BodyVox Artistic Director Ashley Roland. Students will develop their dance technique and expand their imagination as they move their body and explore the connection between dance, rhythm, music, and creativity.

DANCE CAMP: JUNE 13-17, JUNE 20-24

Classes and activities are tailored to four age groups:
Blue (3-4), Red (5-6), Yellow (7-8) and Green (9-10).

Each Day will feature BodyVox's core curriculum classes, BodyVox Technique, Stackrobats, and Repertory as well as Art Class, snack time and Lunch. (Lunch and snacks not provided by BodyVox). Throughout the week students are introduced to more specialized dance and movement forms that expand imagination and movement vocabulary.

Camp curriculum may include the following dance classes:
    •    Global Dance  (movement traditions from around the world)
    •    Stackrobats  (acrobatic dance)
    •    Repertory (learning choreography)
    •    Jazz  (jazz dance styes and technique)
    •    ImproVox (dance improvisation)
    •    Yoga (traditional & student created poses)
    •    Hip Hop (hip hop style and technique)
    •    Visual Arts

Fridays will feature an afternoon Student Showcase for friends and family.
Blue and Red Group Camp Showcase 12:30-1:15
Yellow and Green Groups 1:30-2:30       

As an option, students 3-8 (Blue, Red, and Yellow groups) can participate in Afternoon Adventure. This group will experience the wealth of art and culture in Portland with planned field trips and activities. Every 2-3 children will be chaperoned by an adult. **Students must be enrolled in the morning session of Dance Camp to enroll in Afternoon Adventure


Join us for a special camp session focused exclusively on 3-6 year olds. August Dance Camp features two dance classes and a visual arts class each day. Friday will feature a showcase for friends and family at 11:30am.
