Haru Poliakoff grew up in Portland and then moved to California to trailblaze transgender representation
in ballet, and ultimately received his BA in Theater and Dance from UC Davis. He has returned to
Portland after years of teaching adult and youth ballet, contemporary, pole, and hula in the
Sacramento-Davis area. The focus of his teaching centers around dance as injury prevention, accessibility
of movement, and finding joy in inhabiting and connecting with your body. He welcomes all people of all
abilities, bodies, and ages to come dance with him!
