Theresa Hanson

THERESA HANSON was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, where she grew up training in ballet and jazz at Pofahl Studios. She began her professional dance career with Dance Alive National Ballet at the age of 15 as a member of the Corps de Ballet. She advanced to Soloist after graduating high school and continued touring with Dance Alive for three more years, performing repertoire such as Bolero, Rite of Spring, Scheherazade, Carmina Burana, The Nutcracker and Balachine’s Allegro Brilliante. From 2012-2015 she also taught ballet, contemporary and conditioning classes at the residential school to the company. Theresa moved to Orlando, Florida in 2016, where she worked as a freelance dancer, actor and musician. She began dancing for Universal Orlando Resort in 2017 and joined Dance Theater of Orlando in 2018 under the direction of Marshall Ellis. Theresa moved to Portland in late 2018 and joined PDX Contemporary Ballet for their 2018-2019 season. She joined BodyVox in 2019 and is thrilled to be a part of her third season with the company!
